When reading the previous books in the series I disliked Mira but I was curious if she would mature and grow into someone awesome. So I read the entire series. It never happened. To the end she was self centered and demanded to get her way all of the time. But I loved Angel, so I decided to give the book a shot. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2021 )

- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Chantel Sanchez -- I need more! : I've been reading Jaymins books for years now and I truly believe this is one of her best series. She's already been an amazing writer but there's something about this world and characters that is so grounded in reality that you feel and live through everything together. I know it's a fantasy world but these characters are written as real people. Jaymin doesn't sugar coat anything. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Vallene -- Holy smokes sand has never been this sexy : Long awaited continuation of shadow beast shifters series and absolute wonderful read. Filled with emotional turmoil, action, alpha male tendencies, and swoonworthy sexual content. The desert world building was excellently done and very intriguing. Angel and Reece story is strong with second chance at love and letting go of past hurts. Reunited with the whole pack/family made it a extremely emotional read. Do be prepared for heartstrings being pulled. I can't wait for the next book. Highly recommended series but to fully enjoy Deserted you should read the whole series started with Rejected. - 3.0 out of 5 stars from Shannon -- I’ll read on but didn’t love this one : It’s didn’t quite live up to the previous books. So much of the start was setting up for future books which made it drag. Mera stole the focus frequently with comments that apparently everyone laugh at but that were not funny. I found myself looking forward to her being sent back. I felt like Alistair character didn’t have enough depth and didn’t play a big enough rule for the emotions she was trying to draw at the end. Loved the romance but she and he seemed pretty easily won over after a thousand years as enemies and I noticed half way through the book that changed to only centuries as hating each other.
